Sni.ps Testing Section Added
My good friends at Project Opus and Donat Group in Vancouver, have a great new project called Sni.ps ( found coincidentally at http://www.sni.ps ) which allows users to grab content from a website and publish it to their WordPress site using a handy plug-in.
Beta testing this web application is really exciting for me. In addition to having friends involved, I honestly feel this is the logical evolution of the trackback or pingback. The YouTube embed code has become sort of a standard to allow users to embed flash. SNI.PS lets people grab what ever media they want. No matter what type of media is being embedded, the source is properly referenced.
I used it below to give their elevator pitch. Notice the titling, block-quoting and source declaration. Very nice indeed…
About SNI.PS
With SNI.PS, you can capture content from almost any Website on the Net and place it on your own blog. The tool tracks the attribution of any “snipped content”, so that content owners can see where and how their content is being reused elsewhere on the Web.
About SNI.PS
SNI.PS was developed by Project Opus Technologies with the support of Heritage Canada, and Donat Group Enterprises.
Now to see some of the other snipped content I will be testing, click the Sni.ps Testing link under the “jump To” links at the right.
Cheers!
