Graphic Designers Can Take Advantage of Adobe’s Kuler Website for Fast Color Combination Previews

Infamous Web Designer Adopts WordPress and Moves Toward Usability Standards

Joshua Davis has always been sort of a hero of mine. Standing up to the critiques of function-over-form guru Jacob Nielson and maintaining that design is something that should engage users, even if it sort of confuses them a little. Well over the years, his website has come around a bit more toward the function of a gallery website. His flash website started to lean more and more toward the work being featured and only being supported by the design of the site. This is about as good as it gets. Until he adopted WordPress.

What a guy. I now am an official fanboy of Joshua Davis. He is not only using cool methods and ideas behind his work, he is now using one of the most powerful content management tools around to show it off. This is my official thank-you to him for opening the eyes of so many to what is possible through a format that is user-friendly and can also be 100% custom-fit to the desires of the designer.

You sometimes have to fend for yourself and go out into the big world wide web. So as much as I love Logo Lounge, I don’t like to pay for the service fees associated with using their website. Fortunately, Brian Hintz at Ripple Marketing gave me a peek at LogoPond. [Read more]
